Brentwood Campus Computer Center

The Brentwood Campus of Long Island University is connected to the University's wide area network (LIUNET). It is a complete network node because it has its own local area network (LAN) as well as the LIUNET connections. All services that are available at the Brooklyn, C.W. Post and Southampton Campuses are also available to students here.

There are two computer labs located on the ground floor, near the Library and the Cafeteria. The computers are all equipped with Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, and several class-specific programs installed locally.

The Network provides access to applications such as the Internet, Email and general access to the World Wide Web. This LAN links the labs to LIUNET and its facilities across the University.

One Computer Lab is equipped with Pentium 18 PCs and a networked Hewlett Packard Laserjet Printer in the front of the lab.

The second Computer Lab, named the Micro-Lab, is available by reservation. It is also equipped with 18 PCs and a networked Hewlett Packard Laserjet Printer to which all the computers are connected.

Wireless Internet access has been installed throughout the campus.  Students, staff and faculty can access the network anywhere on campus after registering their laptops or other wireless device with the Office of Information Technology.  Wireless Access Registration Forms are available in the Office of Information Technology (rm. 206), in the Main Office (rm. 215) and in the Brentwood Campus Library (ground floor).

**Note: The Universityfs computer labs are available free of charge to all members of the University Community.
